RE/MAX leads the way in real estate and fundraising for Children’s Miracle Network, having raised over $33 million since the partnership began in 1992. They have 20,000 of the most skilled and experienced agents on their team in Canada, with so many of them having made giving a core part of their business.
In 2008, they raised $4 million through their Miracle Home Program and community-wide events. The Miracle Home Program is where an RE/MAX Associate makes a donation on behalf of each real estate transaction. It is truly unique to RE/MAX and was one of the first “cause-related” type programs of its kind. Offices that have 100% of their associates giving to the program gain the prestigious status of being called Miracle Offices.
In addition to the Miracle Home Program, RE/MAX also supports various events, including a lottery that raised $1.25 million in 2008 for children’s hospitals in the province of Quebec. Holding the top spots around the world, RE/MAX Ontario-Atlantic Inc., RE/MAX Quebec Inc. and RE/MAX of Western Canada all raised in excess of $1 million in 2008. As the market changes, their outstanding commitment to children’s hospitals stays the same.
